Wise enough!

I would have done anything to see you once more before I am unable to do it,
This isn't in my hands, it never was, but then that's how life is!
My flaws were a good enough reason to stay away from me,
And my love would be considered selfish if I would pray for you to stay with me..
Now as I know that you were wiser than me to quit,
I am obliged to you for your bravery to split..
But then you cannot expect me to unlove the thing that made me a happy person!
That is not how my heart works, it will keep you safe in a corner hidden from everyone!
It's OK that you don't want to be with me anymore,
I understand, but don't come looking for me when I will not able to see you..
Promise me that you will not search me in different places you go and different people you meet like I do!
I don't want you to go through this,
You were wise enough to leave so be strong enough to let it go..
